Star Wars VII film announces chance to appear in film and help a charity

Director J.J. Abrams announces the creation of Star Wars: “Force for Change,” the initiative between Star Wars: Episode VII and UNICEF to raise funds for children in need and in turn give fans a chance to win special prizes and support the launch of Star Wars: Force for Change, Disney has committed $1 million, and fans can now donate too.

Josh Trank, who is currently working on the Fantastic Four reboot, will direct a Star Wars spin-off movie for LucasFilm. Trank called Star Wars the “defining” experience of his childhood, adding, “The opportunity to expand on that experience for future generations is the most incredible dream of all time.”

Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.

Director J.J. Abrams says, “We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again.  We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”

Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.

Alan Horn revealed April 2. “We have a lot of them [in place],” he said about the main actors, whose names have not been disclosed. According to some sources there will be special effects and action and endless characters that serve only a plot that puts action over character development. Hopefully all the characters would be respected on the screen plays need to be where they should be.
