She recently revealed she had actually broken her hip during the trying time and faced a complete hip replacement if she didn’t heed doctors’ advice to cancel her shows and immediately undergo surgery. Hopefully she gets well soon.

Sir Paul McCartney has announced his new solo album

The ex-beatle will release its title single. The album, due for release in October, will be Sir Paul’s first solo album for six years since his 2007 record Memory Almost Full. He described the album as “very varied” and said he was concerned about its lack of continuity from his previous records.

 

Jamaican superstar Vybz Kartel has to face authorities for a crime

Vybz Kartel and two other men will not face trial in the death of businessman Barrington Burton after a judge ruled Wednesday that prosecutors did not present sufficient evidence. The police say Burton was murdered while he was standing with friends along Walker’s Avenue in Gregory Park, St. Catherine in July 2011.

Barbara Walters Announces Retirement

Walters announced Monday that she will be retiring from The View and the audience applaud her for her choice. Walters told her co-hosts, “I want to leave when people are saying, ‘Why is she leaving?’ rather than ‘Why won’t she leave?'”
She will be remembered for her lengthy career in journalism which includes 20/20, The Today Show and The View.

Lauryn Hill Sentenced to Three Months In Prison

The 37-year old singer has been sentenced to three months in prison for failing to pay her taxes. The singer stood in court but not only to face sentencing but she also pled with the judge by comparing the music business to slavery. She even rapped during the ordeal.
