Even after apologizing, the famous rapper was dropped by Mountain Dew for endorsement deals. The reason lies in the lyrics of a song called “Karate Chop.” The line in question reads, “beat that p***y p like Emmett Till.”
This was an allusion to a the 1955 beating and murder of a teenage boy, Emmett Till, after he was accused of flirting with a white woman.
