From director Gisberg Bermudez, based on a South American folk tale “The Whistler”(El silbon, origenes) is a phantasmagorical figure that wanders at night famed for terrorizing the drunk, the unfaithful and children, whom he’s known to feast upon. In Gisberg’s retelling of this popular legend; in a race against the clock, a father struggles to find the origins of The Whistler’s curse to stop the gradual possession of his daughter by the supernatural entity..

For 88 minutes, there are no needless lines, no needless scenes. Since it has all the iconography of noir down with very little of the existential angst. The essence of its characters has many twists and turns, plot threads, and scenes, and they interweave impeccably.
