NYC Club CBGB Will Have Music Festival

The New York City rock club CBGB is planning a city wide music festival. The CBGB festival will occur July 5th-8th. The Rolling Stones reported that it will “include 300 bands at 30 locations across New York, from Central Park’s Summerstage to the Highline Ballroom to clubs like Lit Lounge.” Stage performers include Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Cloud Nothings, Baseball Project (a supergroup started by R.E.M.’s Peter Buck and Dream Syndicate’s Steve Wynn) and New York Dolls member David Johansen will also be making an appearance. CBGB will also be showing film screenings of classic rock films and documentaries. CBGB was last closed in 2006. For all those attendees, good luck using the restroom.
