After 18 years later, Kurt Cobain is remembered for his music

Kurt Donald Cobain, a great legend who inspired a lot of teens in the 90’s… ever since his tragic suicide on April 5th, 1994, rock music has not been the same…

He was being remembered Thursday 5th on the 18th anniversary of his death. Unable to cope with his fame and “rock star” public image, Cobain was found dead in his Seattle home on April 8, 1994. Four days earlier, he had committed suicide with a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head.

As with many stars who fit the archetype of Neil Young’s “it’s better to burn out than it is to rust,” as stated in his 1979 song “Hey Hey, My MY (Into the Black),” the causes of Cobain’s early death have been disputed by fans – including some speculation that Love may have been involved and belief that he may still be alive, but faked his own death to avoid fame as per his documented aversion to public life.

“American Reunion” steps up with some genuine laughs

Review by Jenny Alvarez

Photos By: Alfonso De Elias.

American Reunion comes back to all the American Pie characters we met a little more than a decade ago return to East Great Falls for their high-school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they will discover what has changed, who hasn’t and that time and distance can’t break the bonds of friendship. Jim, Michelle, Stifler, and their friends reunite in East Great Falls, Michigan for their high school reunion.

If you are looking for a good comedy to go see, this one, is a good choice. Plenty of funny scenes some of them are bringing back the nostalgic memories mostly from the first film. You will laugh from beginning to end, and none of the laughter or jokes were forced. All the characters have their own issues (too married, have kids, hate their jobs, hate their lifestyle, etc.) and the movie is kind of about them all resolving their over the course of a reunion weekend. It’s the American Pie which is most similar to the first one. All the old couples from high-school (Oz/Heather, Kevin/Vicky, Jim/Michelle) re-hash their past feelings. So all the best jokes and good comedy is back again!

Final autopsy reported that Whitney Houston was in the bathtub, face down, and was considered dead for “accidental drowning”. Investigators found cocaine, prescription drugs, and alcohol withdrawal as contributing factors. Alcohol was found in her room, however there was none detected in her system. A toxicologist says Houston’s death could have stemmed from cardiac arrhythmia.

ATM will be your last transaction

It’s release on April 6, 2012 (Limited U.S. Theatrical) and the Screenwriter Chris Sparling (who wrote the screenplay of Buried) is back with a new thriller titled ATM. Much like the Buried concept, the movie ATM will primarily take place in one location, you nail it, in the vestibule of an Automated Teller Machine. The story centers on three co-workers who, on a routine stop at an ATM, unexpectedly end up in a desperate fight for their lives. Director David Brooks will helm the project. The cast includes Brian Geraghty, Josh Peck and Margarita Levieva.

The beginning is good and full of desperation with a splash of “Panic Room”. The performances were generally solid, the atmosphere was tense and the killer was relatively menacing. The characters are likable enough, some moments are pretty tense, and overall it’s decently constructed. However, you can be a little bit disappointed and frustrating at first, before it is remembered that most people are really like this. Hints of reality are much more horrifying than pure fiction. At the end, it has a psychological point of view and the main message is if you want to make any transaction in an Automated Teller Machine never park a mile away from the ATM despite it being the middle of the night in an empty parking lot because you will be in risk!
