"Mustang" The sublimely beautiful story of five young sisters

Readaction & Photo Courtesy agency

Early summer in a village in Northern Turkey. Five free-spirited teenaged sisters splash about on the beach with their male classmates. Though their games are merely innocent fun, a neighbor passes by and reports what she considers to be illicit behavior to the girls’ family. In reaction, the family overreacts, removing all “instruments of corruption,” like cell phones and computers, and essentially imprisoning the girls, subjecting them to endless lessons in housework in preparation for them to become brides.  As the eldest sisters are married off, the younger ones bond together to avoid the same fate.  The fierce love between them empowers them to rebel and chase a future where they can determine their own lives in Deniz Gamze Ergüven’s debut, a powerful portrait of female empowerment. Mustang is a great movie.

From director and writer Maria Matteoli, The Wine of Summer will give stand-out performances in each character. James (Ethan Peck), at the age of 27, quits his law career in pursuit of his childhood dream of becoming an actor. While studying acting under the tutelage of Shelley (Marcia Gay Harden), he becomes engrossed in Carlo Lucchesi’s play, Tinto de Verano, which is set in Spain. James’ girlfriend Brit (Kelsey Chow) leaves him, and he spontaneously flies to Spain, where he encounters the misanthropic playwright Lucchesi (Bob E. Wells) at a bookstore in Barcelona. Lucchesi is in a relationship with a much younger woman, Veronica (Elsa Pataky), but still nurtures an old love for his long lost muse, Eliza (Sonia Braga), a novelist, who happens to be visiting her son, Nico (Nicholas Dominic Talvola) a trumpet player who also lives in Barcelona. In the golden backdrop of Spain. Even frustration is one of the main subjects of the film, characters find their fates intertwined and Sonia Braga is amazing in her role. A great film for relaxing in a comfortable coach.

A forbidden love becomes “Breath In” a seductive melodrama

From the Writer/director Drake Doremus works with Felicity Jones a soulful and musical British exchange student Sophie Williams (Jones) comes to New York in search of inspiration. On the surface, Sophie’s host family seems happy enough, but with her arrival to the Reynolds’ Upstate New York home, the private struggles of each family member begin to bubble. In particular, frustrated musician-turned-piano- teacher Keith Reynolds (Guy Pearce) finds long suppressed dreams and desires reignited by Sophie’s talent and inquisitive nature. While Keith’s wife, Megan (Amy Ryan) and daughter, Lauren (breakout talent, Mackenzie Davis) focus on Lauren’s final year of high school, Sophie and Keith are drawn ever closer by their mutual longing for creative expression. Ultimately, Sophie and Keith must confront how much they are willing to sacrifice and what they truly want out of life. The main characters were improvising their dialogue and many times are halting verbal exchanges, half-smiles creating a seductive atmosphere. Innocence, maturity makes a relationship a love affair completely without fireworks due is a prohibited love when Pearce and Jones (both brilliant) when they start to get too close but the big dilemma is if both recognize the dangers ahead. Meanwhile, Jones plays a young woman who seems both fragile and incredibly poised beyond her years, a lethal combination that’s been the downfall of many a married man. Director is at building up the intensity of a scene until the air becomes charged with all the words not being said and the romantic impulses not being acted on. Definitely is a reflect of the lack of sincerity in a fake and unhappy marriage in which both lovers are desperate to believe that neither space, time nor the interferences of others will rupture their bottled passion.

It was a very controlled, well-executed picture in which the flash of passion with great music background which keeps any spectator on the seat without breath.

This good looking actor was photographed recently getting cozy with Mexican singer Eiza Gonzalez in Las Vegas, over ‘less than faithful’ behavior. Long overdue so she obviously has much more class, is much prettier AND sexy!

A dog will become in your "Darling Companion"

By Jenny Álvarez

This movie will be launched on April 20th. On the side of a busy freeway, a woman finds the love, devotion, commitment, and courage she needs – all wrapped up in a bloodied stray dog who becomes her ‘darling companion.’ When the beloved canine goes missing, a shaggy-dog search adventure plays out, drawing together friends and family and rekindling a lifelong love. It will be especially meaningful to anyone who has been part of a family. In general the cast is really good mainly the acting is perfect-Beth (Diane Keaton) is at her mature best. When Joseph (Kevin Kline) becomes distracted by a phone call during a walk with Freeway, the dog disappears. Furious, is the best part due Beth is emotionally all over the place, inexplicably rueful of Joseph, and has an irrational fixation on Freeway. This movie isn’t about men and women, it’s about believability. Kline comes off as a stand-up guy that simply has little patience for odd behavior.

Although titled Darling Companion this is by no means a “Dog Movie”. Ultimately it is about relationships in a fairly idealistic American family that only some of which are interesting. For those that are not huge fans of love stories especially ones that seem to be on the sad side because those to me are not easy to watch. However, if it was a film based on humor and love and as a viewer you would really enjoy it.

Kelvin Kline believes that “thousands of dogs that don’t get adopted and get put down; that is a shame. There marvelous companions. I have a dog, fish, bird, and children (laughs). I am their primary caretaker.” He noticed that the cast in the film were mainly filled with animal lovers. The movie is basically about love, “short and long term companionships, between humans and animals. Men and women as well as children and adults.” Kline also stated that his character was devoted to his patients. You do not want to miss out on this movie, where love for the animals is most important for human nature.

Love is the triumph of imagination in “Goodbye First Love”

Review by Jenny Alvarez

Goodbye First Love, now is available in some American movie theaters  since April 20th.  An acutely perceptive portrait of a bright young woman in the wake of her first romance.  Fifteen-year-old Camille (Lola Créton) is a serious, intensely focused girl who has fallen in love with easy-going Sullivan (Sebastian Urzendowsky), an older boy who reciprocates her feelings, mostly, but wants to be free to explore the world.  When he leaves her to travel through South America, she is devastated.  But over the next eight years, she develops into a more fully formed woman, with new interests and a new love—and the possibility that she’ll be less defenseless when Sullivan enters her life again.  Rendering scenes that showcase her extraordinary ability to evoke moods and feelings, Hansen-Løve takes the story of a girl’s first romance and makes it into a singular experience, familiar in its broad strokes and yet so specific that it feels uniquely personal.

This movie reminds me my first relationship, my first kisses and heartbreaks. Besides, the beauty of the language, the cities, the countryside make this movie magical and realistic so It goes far beyond that, and all the emotional echoes of those moments will last for long after the relationship itself is over. However, all the heightened emotions that come with love. The fear of being rejected and abandoned is very real and must be acknowledged. It is a well structured and meaningful love movie that gives us the freedom to be who we are, loving others for who they are. In few words, when you really love deeply in one direction makes you more loving in all others. Life is full of pure love for all things that makes you capable of doing things that you consider part of your happiness.
