There is so much talent the entire time, full of energy, urban and contemporary, VOLTA is a captivating voyage of discovery that showcases never-before-seen under the Big Top acrobatics in a visually striking world. Driven by a stirring melodic score and inspired in part by the adventurous spirit that fuels the culture of street sports, VOLTA is a story of transformation. It is about being true to oneself, fulfilling one’s true potential, and recognizing one’s own power to make it possible. The theme is elusive with few acts but high in quality purely imaginative and entertaining.

The Music of VOLTA – A Stream of Gripping Musical Landscapes

VOLTA is propelled by a series of atmospheric, epic and poetic musical landscapes. Los Angeles music fans can look forward to VOLTA’s live band which is complete with powerful vocalists, violinist, percussion and more. The rich, musical performance is perfectly synced with the acrobatics, helping to fully immerse guests into the world of VOLTA.

Written by composer Anthony Gonzalez (M83), the highly cinematic music of VOLTA evokes a complex array of emotions and moods that ebb and flow majestically like the tide. It is a narrative tool in its own right, echoing the different arcs in the storyline and expressing the distinct personalities.

BMX & Street Sports

The creators of VOLTA drew inspiration from the spirit of adventure that pervades the world of BMX, street sports and acrobatics. Whether they are on a bike, hopping from rooftop to rooftop, or double dutch rope skipping, urban sports enthusiasts constantly challenge themselves and defy convention.

The Costumes

The stunning costumes of VOLTA have been designed by Emmy Award winnerZaldy Goco, famous for his work with Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani and onRuPaul’s Drag Race.

There, freedom comes with self-acceptance, and with the liberation of the judgment of others. Definitely is an impressive show and create a fantastic atmosphere with many performers. Cirque du Soleil always worth being seen at any time

Migrating gray whales, fin whales, orcas, humpback whales, dolphins, sperm whales, and other animals have been spotted in the waters off Long Beach recently.  This year the Aquarium of the Pacific and Harbor Breeze Cruises are documenting sightings of humpback whales, which are known for their acrobatics and friendliness, and gray whales, which visit local waters in the winter season.  Experts will delve into conservation issues affecting whales in these urban waters. Join us to learn more about the diversity of whale populations and other marine life found off the coast of Southern California.

The past January 15, 2020, The Aquarium of the Pacific’s award-winning Whales: Voices in the Sea multimedia exhibit, learned about the environmental threats facing gray, blue, North Atlantic right, humpback, sperm, and other whales. It was bilingual English-Spanish exhibit after their whale cruise. This exhibit was made possible by the Pacific Life Foundation and was developed by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography with the Aquarium of the Pacific with some experts such James Stewart, Aquarium of the Pacific, Captain Dan Salas, CEO, Harbor Breeze Cruises and Nilda Parrado, vice president of operations, Harbor Breeze Cruises (Español).

The gray–whale-watching season in California varies along the coast during winter and spring as the grays migrate south to the mating and calving lagoons of México, then return north to feed mainly off Alaska. In addition, during summer, blue, humpback and other whales can be seen. Since gray whales migrate relatively close to shore, whale watching for them has become very popular and this Aquarium might be one of your best options for more information about these great animals. Definitely this is a God’s miracle for these gifted creatures of nature!

Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor 2019: The Darkest Night

By GalaTView Staff

This year all visitors will enjoy mazes, monsters and mini shows. There are 6 mazes scattered throughout. Three out of the six mazes are in the ship. The mazes in the ship are further back and have longer waits so try to be on time for each one because lines for mazes took from 45 minutes to an hour. Each maze is themed after one of the actual hauntings or tragedies on the majestic Queen Mary ship. This becomes an exciting experience. However, some mazes are not scary. They are hot and not decorated, and the mazes themselves have no fear factor or real effort put into it. Some mazes are worth to see especially the boat mazes like Lullaby, The Feast, and the Circus theme maze. In general, nothing changed a lot from last year because each year has been pretty much the same in terms of theme and characters but at the end the visitors will have the last word. GTVW enjoyed it and named this event like the “Darkest Night.”
