By Jenny A.

Inspired by true events, Eddie the Eagle is a feel-good story about Michael “Eddie” Edwards (Taron Egerton), an unlikely but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself – even as an entire nation was counting him out.  With the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach (played by Hugh Jackman), Eddie takes on the establishment and wins the hearts of sports fans around the world by making an improbable and historic showing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.  From producers of Kingsman: The Secret Service, Eddie the Eagle stars Taron Egerton as Eddie, the loveable underdog with a never say die attitude.

During 76 minutes a real human being who pursuits his dreams with dedication, discipline and triumph is a great pleasure of life. “Eddie The Eagle” is that and so much more full of enthusiasm, and a special athlete who raises triumph and becomes in a real Britain hero for the Olympic Games in 1988. Eddie is a hero of the sports, pragmatic, easy company and someone who never gave up in front of the smallest difficulty. fearless and courageous. Hugh Jackman in his role could have been the greatest ski-jumper of all time, if ego and drink hadn’t gotten in the way but his incredible perseverance as coach made his role one of the best.

Keith Sweat and Musiq Souldchild were in a concert full of love

Photos and review by Jenny Alvarez

From nightclubs to Nokia Theater, Keith Sweat and Musiq Souldchild made the love with their voices. These great singers had a successful concert the past February 14th  in Los Angeles, CA and many fans enjoyed their music and style on the stage.

Musiq Souldchild well known as the best soulful singer has been very successful in his career as a musician and in this concert as well. His songs such as “Teach Me”, “B.U.D.D.Y” and “Make You Happy” were the most applauded.

Keith Sweat is one of the smoothest men on his genre. His music is so smooth and collapsed with his voice and deep feelings. As reviewer he makes magic with his music because I found it very easy to listen to and enjoy.” Make it Last Forever”,” I Want Her”,”How Deep is your Love” and more hits were the most romantic and sweet of the show for Valentine’s Day.

These R&B legends were special due their music make feel that life is about trusting on our feelings, taking chances, finding happiness, learning from the past and one of the best moments of this great concert was when Keith shared some roses with his public. Obviously many fans were excited and emotional with his songs and performance during more than 120 minutes.

Tim Burton reflects sincerity through Big Eyes

By Jenny Alvarez

Big Eyes is based on the true story of Walter Keane (Christoph Waltz) and Margaret (Amy Adams).A film that was directed and produced by Tim Burton and the main subject is intellectual property theft, and the subjugation of women. However, the sincerity of the artist is fascinating and Alexander and Karaszewski’s Big Eyes script has a tendency to be heavy-handed at times (especially in its use of voiceover narration). Despite of the development of the story that begins in the late ‘50s, California; this reflects many social issues such as abusive marriage, repression, lies and ambition for money. Obviously this films makes it more interesting through a series of sequences that shows how Amy Adams’ Margaret life and work, before and after her marriage with Walter Keane (Christoph Waltz). She keeps quiet while her husband takes all her glory, keeping that secret for over a decade; secret about her career, talent and great sensibility for art.

Burton’s films always have fantasy but this one particularly surprises with respect and passion for a woman that reflects great talent in her art work and quality that intrigue viewers. Margaret can’t explain her paintings beyond saying that they express a part of her being in the deepest way. Definitely is a great movie season in which emotions, the absurdity and comedy are elements that makes it entertaining for 106 mins.

Walking Dead 2 is coming at home

Interviews Video  By Alfonso De Elias

Season Two lead cinematographer Rohn Schmidt’s gritty, hopelessly dour mise en scene is perfectly depicted on Anchor Bay’s Blu-ray transfer. The Walking Dead: The Complete Second Season Blu-ray arrives courtesy of AMC and Anchor Bay Entertainment. The show is presented in 1.78:1 widescreen, mixed in 7.1 Dolby TrueHD. The season’s 13 episodes are spread among four discs. An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months, society has crumbled: There is no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV.

Rick Grimes finds himself one of the few survivors in this terrifying world. He was a small town cop who had only fired his weapon a couple times but never at anyone and had only ever seen one dead body. Separated from his family, he must sort through the death and horror to try and find his wife and son. In a world ruled by the dead, people are forced to finally begin living.

Shot on Super 16, The Walking Dead is a textured, gritty looking series, often painted with morose, bleak visuals and a stark, apocalyptic palette reminiscent of other zombie films. The Blu-ray presentation outdoes the already staggering HD broadcast by delivering a cleaner, crisper presentation.

It’s probably not a series for the ages, but any genre programming that can both appeal to its base market and still drum up intrigue in other demographics has to have something going on under its hood. Most images are defined by pale colors that yield a gray, bleak, hopeless sort of visual structure that reinforces the themes of despair and death and emphasizes the general end-of-days misery. The zombie apocalypse is not just about mindless nonstop zombie smashing for people with ADHD. It’s more about the loss of humanity and how people interact with each other so this Blu-ray-DVD has English and French languages with English subtitles.
