The new iPad, unveiled today by Apple, Inc. [NASDAQ: AAPL], is the world’s first Bluetooth Smart Ready tablet, incorporating Bluetooth v4.0 and its hallmark feature low energy technology. As a Bluetooth Smart Ready tablet, the new iPad gives any Bluetooth device, from a static data-collecting sensor to a laptop or mobile phone like the iPhone 4S, the ability to connect, share and distribute information in real-time. The fact that Apple’s new iPad is a Bluetooth Smart Ready hub is big news for the broad CE ecosystem – accessory manufacturers, app developers, and most importantly, consumers. This massive ecosystem is expected to expand remarkably within the next two years: 2B Bluetooth enabled devices will ship in 2012 and 3B are expected to ship in 2014.

For consumers:

The consumer now has the opportunity to seamlessly connect their diverse Bluetooth devices (Classic Bluetooth technology or new Bluetooth Smart devices) to the new iPad. Not only will a consumer be able to buy an ultra-efficient Bluetooth Smart keyboard that won’t require a change of batteries for the life of their new iPad, they can also track the data that might be securely coming off of their many Bluetooth Smart devices through apps on their new iPad.

For example, fitness buffs can track and record their workout analytics (heart rate, distance, speed, elevation, etc.) on an app that’s talking to their Bluetooth enabled heart rate monitor. Diabetics can seamlessly and securely track their blood sugar levels from their Bluetooth enabled glucose meter through an app on their new iPad. At their next visit, they can simply show a chart of their blood sugar levels over the past six months on their new iPad (in full HD) when the doctor asks how their readings have been since the last check-up. Or consumers can use their new iPad as a remote control to their Bluetooth enabled home audio system, TV or thermostat.

Consumers can trust the security of the data which is coming with smart devices ultra power efficient, but they are also ultra secure.

The Happiest Place on Earth Is About to Get Happier

Disneyland Resort Announces June 15 Grand Opening of Cars Land, Buena Vista Street and Carthay Circle Theatre in Expanded Disney California Adventure Park

By GalaTView Staff

Engines Start Revving at Cars Land this Summer, Adding More Magic than Ever and Completing Five-Year Expansion of Disneyland Resort.

The Happiest Place on Earth will get even happier June 15, 2012, with the grand opening of Cars Land, Buena Vista Street and the Carthay Circle Theatre at Disney California Adventure park. The exciting, new additions will complete the five-year expansion of Disneyland Resort, a premier, multi-day vacation destination in Southern California with two theme parks, three hotels and the Downtown Disney shopping and dining district.

With four new attractions opening at Disney California Adventure park, full day-to-night experiences at both parks, and the magical transformation of the Disneyland Hotel.

Cars Land expands Disney California Adventure by 12 acres and immerses guests in the thrilling world of the Disney•Pixar blockbuster “Cars.”  Guests will feel as if they have stepped into the town of Radiator Springs as they enjoy three family attractions showcasing characters and settings from the movie, plus “Cars”-themed dining and shopping locations such as Flo’s V8 Cafe, Ramone’s House of Body Art and Radiator Springs Curios.

One of the largest and most elaborate attractions ever created for a Disney park, Radiator Springs Racers is a twisting, turning, high-speed adventure through Ornament Valley and the town of Radiator Springs. Luigi’s Flying Tires invites guests to glide on air aboard special tires, whirling around with their pals. At Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, guests will whip around behind a baby tractor and enjoy tunes from a giant jukebox built from Mater’s most prized possessions.

Starting June 15, guests will enter Disney California Adventure along Buena Vista Street, a place that transports them to an era when Walt Disney arrived in California with new dreams: 1920s Los Angeles. Buena Vista Street features Red Car Trolleys, inspired by the transportation system that once served Southern California, and the Carthay Circle Theatre, modeled after the site of the 1937 world premiere of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Carthay Circle Theatre will include a lounge and the elegant Carthay Circle Restaurant, designed to be the premier dining location in Disney California Adventure.

Adding to the fun at Disney California Adventure this summer will be the new Mad T Party in Hollywood Land, the return of Pixar Play Parade, and the new Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop at Pacific Wharf.  Mad T Party will feature nighttime, family fun inspired by the wild and whimsical world of Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland.”

The summer debuts of Cars Land, Buena Vista Street and Carthay Circle Theatre complement previous additions to the park, including the 4D fun of Toy Story Mania; the spectacular after-dark “World of Color” show; The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure; Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta and Paradise Garden Grill restaurants, plus the re-themed attractions Mickey’s Fun Wheel, Silly Symphony Swings and Goofy’s Sky School.

Disney California Adventure will be closed June 14. The fun, new attractions, locations and entertainment will open to the public June 15.

You will be shut off in “Silent House”

By GalaTView staff

“Silent House” has an intelligent and disturbing horror film, perhaps even a classic. All the elements were in place: creepy location, good actress, decent story with a few twists. Based on true events pretty much means they’re taking a story that did happen, but probably not as intense, & fabricating the entire thing, making it seem worse than what really happened in the story the made the movie from. The main character is trapped inside her family’s lakeside retreat; a young woman finds she is unable to contact the outside world as events become increasingly ominous in and around the house.

GalaTView talked to Elizabeth Olsen (Sarah): “I am a big fan of horror films, and I know people who had seen” The Silent House,” in its original version in Spanish (from Uruguay) and produced by American producers in a second version and seemed one of the scariest things I had seen. I do not like horror full of bloody, but if you have suspense and make your heart race, and it was made just that way.”

“It was difficult come back to the same house for some takes due my hair had grown and ending that character, so I had to play her again. It is a girl who has been persecuted for what I had to use just my imagination then I had to block many bad things that my character suffered, specially almost at the end of the film.”
