The best digital disaster is now in theaters “San Andreas” is part of mother nature always gets the last word in a horrible earthquake of magnitude 9, directed by Brad Peyton with a great cast Dwayne Johnson as Ray,Carla Gugino as Emma, Alexandra Daddario as Blake Ioan, Gruffudd as Daniel Riddick,Archie Panjabi as Serena,Paul Giamatti as Dr. Lawrence Hayes, Hugo Johnstone-Burt as Ben Art Parkinson as Ollie, Will Yun Lee as Dr. Kim Park, Kylie Minogue as Susan Riddick, Colton Haynes as Joby Todd Williams as Marcus, Matt Gerald as Harrison, Alec Utgoff as Alexi, Marissa Neitling as Phoebe.

During 2 hr. 3 min. a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot (Dwayne Johnson) must navigate the destruction from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save his daughter and the obstacles of all character have to face are going to make you to think about the real infamous San Andreas Fault would affect our lives. Definitely, this film has to be seen in 4D experience after all the complex sequences, this takes you so deep into the story that feels like some scenes  are part of the on-screen actions especially in the fatal destruction of buildings and drama that suffer all characters. This film gives guidance on how to prepare for natural disasters indirectly, even the action scenes are spaced out well and each is extremely immersing despite being able to predict the outcome is almost inevitable, the earthquake itself hast the biggest scarier effects.

Be sure to have fun in the summer with the New Jaguar Habitat at Los Angeles Zoo

The Angelinos will be blast after The Los Angeles Zoo has a new habitat for its three jaguars and offering the opportunity to see them up close as never before.

Opening marks the momentous completion of the $180 million Master Plan Phase 1 that has transformed the L.A. Zoo, placing it at the vanguard of animal care and conservation. Therefore Los Angeles is a major world city and this zoo has a lot to offer. Especially now for the 7,100 square-foot jaguar habitat features a waterfall and pool in which the animals can swim, deadwood trees on which they can climb, and abundant landscaping through which they can wander, such as tall grasses, shrubs, ficus trees and banana plants.

The exhibit also offers upgraded Zoo visitor experiences by optimizing viewing, with two glass areas allowing opportunities to see these magnificent animals up-close, and engaging interpretive graphics, all designed to inspire appreciation for preservation of one of the iconic animals of the rainforest environment.

The jaguars’ brand new home, like every other L.A. Zoo Master Plan habitat, is designed for specific needs and natural behavior of the species, incorporating state-of-the-art design and technology to provide superior living spaces for the animals, maximize safety and keeper management and accommodate changes in zoo populations, including births.

Definitely, this one has one of the best exhibits of Jaguars, an average number of unique animals (well fed and cared) and a nice place to spend a few hours if you have time on your hands.

Unexpected end of the sequence “The human centipede 3 (final sequence)”

Photos and Text by Alfonso De Elias

Bully prison warden Bill Boss (The Human Centipede Part I’s Dieter Laser) has a lot of problems; prison riots, medical costs, staff turnover, but foremost he is unable to get the respect he thinks he deserves from his inmates and the state Governor (Eric Roberts). He constantly fails in experimenting with different ideas for the ideal punishment to get the inmates in line, which drives him completely insane. Under threats of termination by the Governor, his loyal right hand man Dwight (The Human Centipede Part II’s Laurence R Harvey) comes up with a brilliant idea. An idea based on the notorious Human Centipede movies that will literally and figuratively get the inmates on their knees, creating the ultimate punishment and deterrent for anyone considering a life of crime.

The film is full of perversely sick moments, with psychotic performance of the actors, and many shocking gores in many scenes but the director, playing himself with his characters and the visits of the prison make the plot more interesting. Although I like the idea of some men must experience the concept of the human centipede as punishment for their behavior, this one is pure entertainment that reflects many celebrations of sexual violence (I’m not in favor of). I have to recognize that the concept was really original with certain kind of politics and the goal was accomplished as well. This trilogy deserves a space for the unique graphics with two lead actors who have actually been brilliant. Definitely, is brilliantly bizarre, unbelievably strange. Despite “The human centipede 3” is not considered one of the best films, for some fans of the trilogy, might be the best horror films of the year.

One of the the coldest, darkest abyss of cold feeling in “Aloft”

During 97 minutes, directed by Claudia Llosa “Aloft” is a journey through the power of the mind, a journey that forces us to confront the immensity of such concepts as love, order, chaos and faith. Jennifer Connelly, Cillian Murphy and Mélanie Laurent star in this character-driven and mythic film. Set in the immense, raw beauty of the Arctic north, Claudia Llosa jumps between the past and present to weave a magical and otherworldly tale of loss, grief, and forgiveness.

A mother who abandons her child for the common good; a son who abandons himself and his own ability to feel in order to bear the weight of tragedy; and a woman who abandons her life to follow her one obsession of curing herself. Three characters – complicated, human, flawed – reveal themselves to us, reflecting on the difficult balance of creating a full life while assuming its fragility and uncertainties.

ALOFT is a journey into a cathedral of healing and into a world full of belief and trust and has one of the best engaging stories. Connelly, Murphy and Laurent had the best roles in a well structured character in behavior and performances. In some moments, the viewer can feel unpleasant experiences with each character and emotions that distinguish the story so this film is a journey back to ourselves.

From director Randall Stevens, “My Dad’s a Soccer Mom” stars Lester Speight (Transformers: Dark of the Moon) Skai Jackson (Disney Channel’s Jessie), Wendy Raquel Robinson (BET’s The Game) and TV legend Tracey Gold (ABC’s Growing Pains). The sports comedy also features NFL player Terrell Owens. This great film will be available on DVD May 19th, 2015.

Marion “Mad Dog” Casey is one of the biggest, baddest and most outrageous names in professional football, but lately his mouth has been outpacing his performance on the field. When Marion’s contract isn’t renewed and no one else rushes to sign him, he’s not happy. Meanwhile, his wife Holly, who has spent many years being a stay-at-home mom for their 10-year-old daughter Lacy, sees this as an opportunity for her to pursue her career ambitions in interior design. After chauffeuring Lacy to ballet and theatre class – activities she really doesn’t like, Marion discovers that she has a knack for soccer. He signs her up and begins his new life as a Soccer Dad – the only 300-pound, overbearing, ex-football player in the group! As he navigates the trickiness of being a hands on parent with soccer mom Lori and the other moms, Marion discovers the joy of his new relationship with his daughter.

Definitely, would be best enjoyed by a family with older children who are 8 and up. The moms on the Marion’s daughter team are lovely.

The Piano Guys were playing Cello and a Piano in a classical vein

The Piano Guys were in a great concert at Greek Theater which has excellent acoustic, audio and friendly management help. These four talented dads from Utah, have climbed the Great Wall of China for their craft, landed a top Billboard charts, sold out tour dates around the world, accrued a massive social media following and scored YouTube viewership at 500 million views with their brand new album, Wonders!

Their concert was full of film music videos, with successful single/video releases from the past year such as, “Let It Go,” “Kung Fu Piano: Cello Ascends,” and “Story of my Life.” It also includes new songs with strong familiarity that incorporates melodies from Dave Matthews Band’s huge hit “Ants Marching / Beethoven Ode to Joy,” they continued with more beautiful songs such, “Epic,”“Bourne,””Upside Down,””Father’s Eyes,” until the intermission.

As spectator, I realized these talented artists have a real connection through their little chats with the audience. After the intermission, they continued with “Secrets,” “Snoopy,””Story of My Life,” “1000 Years,”“Mashup,””Rockabell,””Beautiful” and in some songs were hilarious because Jon was dancing with a particular and unique style. If he weren’t a musician, he would’ve made for a fantastic comedian.

The Piano Guys – Steven Sharp Nelson, Jon Schmidt, Al Van der Beek and Paul Anderson included a well structured concert, dynamic and worthy. For me, this concert might be the best show of the year.
